Thieves have been targeting women driving alone through Kirklees. Thieves stole a handbag from one car and tried to steal at least LED Flexible Strip Silicone Series Silicone 5050 one other from another vehicle. The thieves have targeted lone women drivers on Leeds Road in the Birstall and Batley areas. Police urge women drivers to keep their car doors locked at all times.
Det Con Russ Conlon said: "The cars were in queues at traffic lights. Women should not leave their handbags on open view - especially on passenger seats - embroidered patches and should make sure their doors are locked at all times. The thieves have been opening passenger doors, reaching in and grabbing the handbags."
